covid is war. you think its's hard to see a doc now? yea wait til the real post covidpocolipse. Afghanistan is going to be preferred to this when its over. with y'all-queda refusing vaccinations and trying to encourage misinformation and lies? does anyone even wonder what fear is? 

fear is, fear is knowing your body is the battlefield and the stray bullets cause the real casualties. sure we might be able to bump into someone who has better shielding or we just so happened to miss our shot, but eventually we accidentally kill thousands. Anti-maskers are the enemy, people who refuse vaccinations are  the enemy. They are corroborators, traitors, cowards, pathetic anti heroes who are all edge and no point. There is no glory to be had in this war. Nurses and doctors have to make choices to let people die based on how far they are gone. When will they realize that if you are fat, have heart disease or diabetes or hell even haven't received your flu shot for the year, they risk being cast aside in the ER because their chance of survival will be lower than some athletic health nut? Partially I just wish they'd just die off before they kill too many, but we are in the realm north 500,000 dead, as how many people have died from covid in the US since the start of 2020. I have buried 30 people in my short life, most were from their own hand, but the few that were preventable? 9. What are the odds you killed them? our existence is not singular, and we affect everyone around us. The human experience is emotion. Yet, why are we as dead ever inside. What killed me first, the loss of faith in humanity or the loss of faith in my peers?

 I am having my spouse call to set up a psychiatry appointment. I have no tolerance for redundancies, and stupid questions, which is why I am having them make the call. HOWEVER, the company requires a release of information for the file they haven't made yet.  WHY on EARTH would you require a ROI for a patient that DOESN'T EVEN GO THERE. The state has no qualms with taking a patient and throwing them in a psych unit and not telling their family members where they are for a week because "they are a ward of the state and their family doesn't need to know". Doctors can call and get any information they want by just asking about a specific pt and saying they are their doctor. No ROI is needed, but apparently to see a doctor, you need an ROI in your file before you see the doctor.

Twenty years ago the Christian Right managed to pry critical thinking and science out of the school curriculum in many school districts, resulting in Q-annon flat-earthers and Trump. That's you Bozzo, fat old man or woman objecting to mask-wearing on the L, or wearing one with the beak clearly uncovered. Hey idiot, the nose is attached to the lungs. "I am vaccinated!" But you can carry it and I don't want my 3-year-old stuck in an ICU because you are too selfish to be socially responsible.

Oh oh! We were headed south toward The Loop on the Red Line from Howard when two young ladies border at Loyola. There were both dressed for trouble, both college freshmen by age and demeanor. These cars have seating that faces toward the aisle. She probably did not realize how short her dress was. She was going out "commando". I exclaimed "Oh-oh!" as she sat. She riggled and tried to pull the microskirt down in a failed attempt at modesty. I stared at the ceiling, she crossed her legs.
